Third Augusta Suspect Arrested in Drug-Related Killing

-

A third man has been connected to a murder that took place earlier this month.

Austin Slade OShields, 21 (pictured), was charged Wednesday with murder and weapon possession in connection with the March 12 slaying of 19-year-old Kenneth Porter.

Saxxon Vance, 20, and Antoine Stokes, 16, have already been charged.

Arrest warrants say the Augusta teen was killed by a group who was trying to rob him of marijuana inside his apartment, authorities said.

Deputies responded to Apartment 28-A at The Enclave on Ridge Ridge Drive around 2 p.m. March 12. They found Porter had been shot several times. He was rushed to Augusta University Medical Center, where he died.

A warrant says that the killers were attempting to rob Porter of marijuana and shot him with a 9mm gun, striking him multiple times with projectiles.

Porter, who goes by kennostacks on Instagram, was an aspiring rapper.
