USC Aiken Student Found Shot to Death in Aiken County; Case is a Homicide

The Aiken County Coroner’s Office has identified the person found shot to death in a car Tuesday morning as a USC Aiken student from Beech Island.

Jeremiah Duncan, 20, was pronounced dead Tuesday morning on Gunter Road in Aiken, off Talatha Church Road. He died from a gunshot wound and his death has been ruled a  homicide.

Aiken County authorities responded around 8 a.m. to Gunter Road, where the victim was found deceased, seated in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with an apparent head wound.
