Victim Shot at Days Inn in Augusta & Runs to McDonalds to Report It

From the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office:

“On Monday morning, August 17, 2020 at 8:15 am, Richmond County Deputies responded to McDonald’s, 3646 Wheeler Road in reference to a shooting victim. Upon arrival the deputies made contact with a male victim who had been shot in the arm. It was learned that the shooting had occurred at the Day’s Inn, 3654 Wheeler Road. The victim reported that an unknown short B/M subject shot him at the hotel. The suspect left in a gold Jeep (no other description available). The victim then ran to McDonald’s to report the incident. Victim was transported to the hospital by way of ambulance.

Investigators are on the scene and the incident is in its early stages of investigation.

There is no further information available at this time.”
