Video: RCSO Cop Stops by Ball Game & Does Something Unexpected

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is earning praise for its community policing efforts after a local resident filmed a female deputy stopping by a church’s kickball game and joining in.

video imageDoug Stewart took a VIDEO (click here to view) of the unidentified deputy stopping by a kickball game during Vacation Bible School at Calvary Baptist Church.

The uniformed deputy then joined in.

Stewart’s daughter, Tammy, shared the video with The Jail Report with this message:

video image 2“It was very refreshing to see (the sheriff’s office) to stop and play kickball with some the kids at Vacation Bible School @ Calvary Baptist on Richmond Rd. Especially this officer throwing the ball,” Tammy Stewart said. “With everything going on with officer’s being killed, this was heartwarming.”

Tammy Stewart said she wished she knew the officer’s name.

“God Bless ALL of America’s Officers,” Tammy Stewart said.
