-

Aiken County authorities are asking for your help in locating a suspect who allegedly shot a Wagener man multiple times on Sunday.

Frank Lee Walker II, 34, of Wagener, is wanted for attempted murder and weapon possession in Sunday night’s shooting at the suspect’s home on Holley Street in Wagener. He should be considered armed and dangerous, sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah said.

The 28-year-old victim was found seated in his 2006 Chevy Impala, injured from multiple gunshots when deputies arrived around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses identified Walker as the shooter, telling deputies that he was armed with a handgun and ran into the woods near the incident location. ACSO Bloodhounds and a SLED helicopter failed to capture the man.

Aiken County EMS transported the shooting victim to an area hospital for emergency treatment, where he was listed as critical, Capt. Abdullah said Monday. The motive is unclear.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Walker, please contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 648-6811.
