Warrenville Woman Killed by Train Strike

A Warrenville woman has died from injuries suffered early Wednesday when she was struck by a train, authorities said.

Alyssa Brown, 31, was struck by a Norfolk Southern Railroad train around 3:25 a.m. Wednesday on Anthony Drive in Warrenville, according to Coroner Darryl Ables. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries at 1:38 p.m. Friday.

She will be autopsied Monday in Newberry. The coroner said this is an ongoing investigation by the Coroner’s Office and the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
