2 Year Old Augusta Girl Dies in Drowning at Hephzibah Pool

-

A 2-year-old Augusta girl died in a drowning last weekend at a pool in Hephzibah, the coroner announced Friday.

Natalia Felix, 2, fell into a pool on the 3000 block of Hollins Drive. She was rushed to Augusta University Medical Center the same day, where she was pronounced dead at 8:11 p.m. Saturday, Coroner Mark Bowen said.

“An autopsy has been completed and waiting on results,” he said in a press release.

No other details on the drowning or investigation were listed in the coroner’s press release.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors, 2502 Richmond Hill Road in Augusta

A Facebook post by the funeral home says the girl was the daughter of Henry Vashaun Felix and Celeste Lilith Arrastia.

“She enjoyed jumping, slides, swings, cold Dr. Pepper, Mac and cheese, rice and beans, Paw Patrol and YouTube kids,” the funeral home post said. “She loved playing in her kitchen, drinking muddy water (coffee from a spoon lol), rippin n’ runnin the streets with Titi Yahida, and giving the best hugs and kisses. What Nani loved the most was swimming.”

The post continues, “Nani was love. Nani was sunshine. Nani is beautiful. And Nani had a big head, like her Titi. Nani could feel other people’s feelings and always knew how to make you laugh and smile.”
