3 Armed Robbers Sought in Hold-Up at JR’s Food Mart in Augusta

Richmond County authorities are looking for three armed robbers who held up the JR’s Food Mart Wednesday night on Old Savannah Road in Augusta.

The 40-year-old clerk said she was checking out a customer when three males entered the store and robbed it at gunpoint. One of the suspects jumped behind the counter and pointed a gun at her.

“I won’t shoot you if you give up the money,” he said.

The suspects took the two drawers out of the cash registers and ran out of the store. One of the suspects also took $20 from her, a sheriff’s report says.

Store video shows two males with handguns and one with a black trash bag. One suspect was wearing a black jacket, black jeans, black and white Air Max 97 and also was wearing a black mask. The second suspect had on a camouflage colored jacket, a black coat, blue pants, white crocs sandals and a yellow mask. The last suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and black shoes. He also had a black mask.

“The suspects ran out of the store and headed to the direction of Dogwood Apartments,” the report says.

The subjects should be considered armed and dangerous.
