Aiken County authorities are investigating a Christmas Eve murder that took the life of an Aiken man.

Rondre J. Gomillion, 29, was fatally shot around 11 a.m. Sunday at 161 Squire Street in Aiken, Coroner Darryl Ables said. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim was found in the front yard on Squire Street and appeared to have an apparent gunshot wound to his chest.

Eric Abdullah said. “The gunman drove away in a dark blue Chevy Suburban or Trailblazer. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’11 tall and 160 lbs. and possibly goes by the name of Tony.”
