Augusta Teen Charged with Shooting Near Bus Stop

-

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended and charged Katravion Roberson, a 17-year-old resident, with multiple serious offenses following an alarming incident near a school bus stop.

Responding to reports of shots fired at the intersection of Lovers Lane and Sapelo Circle at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, deputies arrived to find a male suspect firing a firearm in the vicinity of the bus stop where several children were awaiting transportation to school.

Although no injuries were reported, the potential danger posed by the situation prompted a rapid and determined response from law enforcement authorities.

Roberson has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault and one count of weapon possession. He has since been booked into the Charles B Webster Detention Center, pending further legal proceedings.
