Augusta Woman’s Death at Pendleton King Park Investigated as ‘Suspicious’

-

Richmond County authorities are investigating the “suspicious death” of a woman who was found in her car Tuesday at Pendleton King Park.

Quanda Ball, 43, of  Grasmere Drive, Augusta, was reported missing to the Sheriff’s Office last Thursday. Ball was found deceased in a vehicle at the park and was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:20 p.m Tuesday, Coroner Mark Bowen said. She had been there for a few days.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine a cause of death.

The discovery came just hours after Michael Brooks gunned down his ex-wife Lashonda Wilkerson on Druid Park Avenue and then drove to the same park and shot himself, according to authorities. There is no apparent connection.

Note: If you have a better photo of Quanda, please text it to 803-487-3224.
