FIVE ARRESTED IN MARTINEZ MURDER: Victim Had Simply Interrupted Their Car Break-Ins!

New details show that a Martinez murder victim was killed after he witnessed a group of five suspects breaking into automobiles on Sept. 4.

Gage Reynolds, victim

On 09/04/2020 at 2am, we received a 911 call advising Gage Reynolds was shot and lying in the front yard of 211 Valdes Drive. Gage Reynolds was pronounced dead at the scene. The subsequent murder investigation revealed 5 suspects were committing entering autos in the neighborhood.  There was no relationship between the victim and the suspects. The victim simply had the misfortune of crossing paths with the subjects as they were committing the entering autos. All five suspects were identified, arrested and charged with murder.  The investigation was a result of the joint effort between the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, the Aiken Department of Public Safety and the District Attorney’s Office.

Suspects: Jaylon Herrin (18), Bristan Curry (19), Montell Harling (18), Tyquan Rouse (21), and Tyrese Rouse (20).
