Kroger Thief is NOT Stopped by ‘Locking’ Shopping Cart Wheels in Augusta; She Stole Crab Legs & Beer!

-

A crab-legs thief at an Augusta Kroger found a way around the locking wheels on her shopping cart.

She just transferred the groceries to another cart and fled before the store manager could stop her.

Richmond County authorities want your help finding her. She is shown here.

It happened Sunday evening at the Kroger at 2801 Washington Road. Police say the woman loaded up a cart with two packs of crab legs, three cases of beer, four whole tenderloins and three bags of other meat. She then wheeled it past the cashiers without paying. But the wheels on her fancy cart locked at the exit since she had not paid. (See a similar cart in action here.)

“(She) grabbed a different cart and transferred all of the stolen items over,” a report says.

Manager Michael Faulk confronted the woman and told her he was calling 911. The suspect jumped in a gray Jeep Patriot with the stolen goods and took off at a high rate of speed. Her tag number was was South Carolina: SCE681, a report says.
