RCSO: Murder Victim was Dropped at Augusta CVS Pharmacy

Richmond County authorities have a real mystery on their hands after a shooting victim was brought overnight to the CVS Pharmacy on Walton Way.

Samuel Stewart III, 43, of Lithonia, Ga., was brought to the pharmacy at 12:20 a.m. Thursday by an “unnamed subject” and later rushed to Augusta University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

“The exact location of the incident is undisclosed at this time,” sheriff’s Sgt. William McCarty said in a press release. “The investigation is ongoing into the incident.”

Coroner Mark Bowen said the man’s family in Lithonia has been notified. He said he does not know why the man was in Augusta. Stay tuned for more…
