An Augusta felon who served time for a Florida murder has been charged in last week’s shooting death of a woman on Maxwell Street.

Mary Lucile Moore, 55, is accused of killing 33-year-old Precious D’Antignac last Tuesday afternoon inside the victim’s home. An arrest warrant says Moore shot the victim multiple times.

Moore was arrested Sunday on charges of murder, weapon possession and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. She was convicted of second-degree murder in 2000 for a slaying in Palm Beach County, Florida, according to authorities.

The sheriff’s office has not commented on a motive.
