Aiken County authorities are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body off the side of the road in Salley.
The discovery was made around 1:33 p.m., on Salley Road and Veterans Road in rural Aiken County. A witness called 911 about finding a Caucasian woman who appeared to be deceased, sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah said in a press release.
Aiken County EMS determined that the woman was dead. The sheriff’s office is working with the Aiken County Coroner’s Office to determine the identity of the woman as well as investigating the manner and cause of death.
