Both men are wanted for trying to rob a man on Freiday Lane on March 26. The victim said he entered his vehicle at 3:40 p.m. on that Thursday and was immediately approached by the suspects. They demanded money, but they got nothing from the victim and fled.

Police tied the suspects to the crime after interviewing witnesses, reviewing surveillance footage and collecting forensic evidence.

Thomas is the same man who was found not guilty by a jury in January of a 2017 murder. That slaying happened at Pace’s Run apartment complex in Aiken in May 2017 when Kaliel Bey was fatally shot in the head and neck.

Several interviews, tips and processed physical evidence led investigators to believe Thomas was the individual responsible for the shooting. In that case, Thomas was arrested by the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office in June 2017 after he was found at a relative’s home in Decatur, Georgia.

But a jury found Thomas not guilty o Jan. 9, 2020.

In the robbery case, Thomas and Isles-Lytes men face charges of attempted armed robbery and weapon possession, according to an ADPS press release.
