Aiken County Murder Suspect is Captured in Death of Woman; He is the Third Suspect

A murder suspect wanted for a 2020 slaying was finally captured Wednesday morning.

Daiquan Lamar Lee, 23, was arrested at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday by law enforcement officers from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. Following up on leads, officers tracked Lee to a home located in the 100 block of Lawrence Street.

Lee surrender to deputies without incident. Lee was taken to the Aiken County Detention Center where he was booked for murder, armed robbery and weapon possession.

Christina Cuteri, 31, of Aiken,, was found fatally shot May 4, 2020, at a home in the 1600 block of Old Jackson Highway.

Witnesses say three men opened fire on her car when she pulled into a driveway. Robbery appears to be the motive.

Three weeks later, sheriff’s officials arrested 19-year-old Shikorian Markel Corbitt of New Ellenton and charged him with murder, armed robbery and weapon possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

On July 1, Shikem Saiquan Wright, 21, was taken into custody by Richmond County Deputies at the Rivers Edge Apartments without incident and held on the same charges.

All three suspects are being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
