Augusta Adds Another Homicide to 2019 Toll After Shooting Victim Dies at Doctors Hospital

An Augusta man has died from his injuries after being shot Friday on Amsterdam Drive, adding another homicide to the growing toll in Richmond County.

Kenneth Broadnax, 46, was pronounced dead at 9:42 a.m. Tuesday, Coroner Mark Bowen said in a press release.

The victim was shot around 2 p.m. Friday on the 2400 block of Amsterdam Drive and was rushed to Doctors Hospital. His body will be sent to the GBI lab for an autopsy.

The sheriff’s office has not released anything on the shooting or possible suspects. Check back here for updates.
