The Jail Report has learned that a child – possibly 8 years old – has died after a drive-by shooting believed to have taken place on 3rd Avenue in Augusta.
The child was reportedly rushed to Augusta University Medical Center by private vehicle, where they died. Coroner Mark Bowen has been called to the hospital.
This would be Richmond County’s first homicide of 2022.
