Augusta Man Fatally Shot in Latest Richmond County Murder

Richmond County authorities are investigating an overnight murder that left an Augusta man dead.

Gregory Dunn, 37, was shot at least one time on the corner of Tudor Drive and Carp Drive in Augusta, according to Coroner Mark Bowen.

The victim was pronounced dead at 12:47 a.m. Wednesday at the scene of the crime, which is about a mile and a half from his residence on Thomas Lane. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has not released any information on the shooting or possible suspects in the case. It is the latest in a series of deadly gun violence in the Augusta area.
