Augusta Man, 39, Identified as Murder Suspect in Latest Killing

Richmond County authorities have identified the murder suspect in Augusta’s latest gun death.

Ryon Mcconey Lewis, 39, is being sought in Wednesday’s shooting death of 37-year-old Gregory Dunn.  He is wanted for murder and weapon possession and should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities say.

The victim was shot at least one time on the corner of Tudor Drive and Carp Drive in Augusta, according to Coroner Mark Bowen. The victim was pronounced dead at 12:47 a.m. Wednesday at the scene of the crime, which is about a mile and a half from his residence on Thomas Lane.

The suspect is known to frequent the Fish Village and Boy Scout Road neighborhoods. He is known as N.O. and has family connections in New Orleans, authorities said.
