Investigators with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a dead body that was located Thursday in a wooded area off of the 4200 block of Trolley Line Road, Aiken.
A person contacted the Sheriff’s Office at 12:41 pm Thursday, advising he located a body while walking in the woods. Deputies met with the person and located the body in the wooded area. The body has not been identified.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office, Aiken Department of Public Safety and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office responded.
Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation and the Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by Aiken Department of Public Safety.
