Bones Found in Woods South of International Paper on Highway 56

The Richmond County Coroner says that human bones have been discovered in the woods just south of International Paper off Highway 56.

Positive identification will have to be done through dental records or DNA, Coroner Mark Bowen said in a press release. The bones are being sent to the GBI for examination.

The Coroner’s Office was called out to the discovery about 11 a.m. Thursday.
