Man Throws Rocks at Cars on Interstate 20 in Aiken County

   A Florida man was arrested on Easter Sunday after he was seen throwing rocks at moving vehicles on Interstate 20 in Aiken County.

   Patrick Leth was found on mile marker 18, where he told a deputy that he was “running from gang members,” according to a sheriff’s report. He would not explain how he got to Aiken from Florida, but he said he was just trying get people’s attention on the interstate.

   The deputy told the man to get off the interstate. The man agreed but was later arrested when he returned with a bucket of stones and gravel, a sheriff’s report says.

   Leth, 59, of St. Augustine, Fla., was charged with pedestrian on a controlled access highway.
