A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder in Friday night’s shooting death of his cousin in Augusta, authorities said.

The victim, Kyjuan King, 15.

Willik King, 15, is accused of killing 15-year-old Kyjuan King, who was shot on Bridgeover Avenue just after 9 p.m. Friday, authorities said.

A second person was also injured in the shooting. He was identified as 21-year-old Michael Walker.

Authorities are investigating whether Willik King was trying to shoot Walker when he hit his cousin by mistake.

Either way, both shooting victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment, but Kyjuan King died from his injuries. The condition of Walker was not clear at the time of this post.

A motive is not clear. Willik King was booked into Regional Youth Detention Center after being booked and photographed at the Richmond County Jail.

Friends and family of the victim are already remembering him on Facebook.

Britany Lewis said, “He was like my baby…he was only a baby you took him from us I can’t stop these tears…..STOP KILLING OUR BABIES PUT THE GUNS DOWN…..my son loved him how tf am I post to tell my baby when we go around his mom and sister and he ask where ‘fat daddy’ this has hit to close to home.’
