The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has sent an update on Tuesday’s wreck involving a deputy.
Here it is:
“On Tuesday afternoon, June 2, Deputy Troy Moses was driving his patrol car east on Broad Street. As he was approaching the intersection of Sixth Street, a westbound vehicle attempted to turn left onto Sixth Street into the path of Deputy Moses’ vehicle.
The vehicles collided causing Deputy Moses vehicle to veer off the roadway and strike a light pole. Deputy Moses was transported to Augusta University Hospital where he was admitted and is currently recovering. The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The accident is under investigation by The Georgia State Patrol.
Deputy Moses has been a member of this agency since December of 2016. He has previously worked for our agency as well as The Richmond County Marshal’s Office.”
