A well-known Augusta accountant swindled over a half-million dollars from a previous employer, a crime revealed after her arrest last month for stealing over $300,00 from a local construction company.
On Tuesday, Cheryl Ann Snover was re-arrested by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office for felony theft by conversion. During the investigation of a previous case, it was discovered that while Snover was an employee of Trefz & Trefz Company, she took money from that company for her own personal use for several years in the approximate amount of $585,479.11.
Snover was previously arrested on Aug. 9 for felony theft by conversion. Snover was an employee of ACC Construction when she wrote checks from their business account for her personal use in the approximate amount of $327,593.91, authorities said.
