North Augusta police continue looking for answers in Friday’s shooting death of 34-year-old Akila Glover.
The victim was reportedly shot around 9 p.m. outside the Waffle House on Georgia Avenue in North Augusta.
A group of people in a van drove him across the border into Augusta and stopped on Riverwatch Parkway to allow an ambulance to come. But he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said.
According to North Augusta police, the shooting came during an armed robbery and attempted murder. Glover was a 34-year-old resident of Bath, S.C.
