An Augusta woman died after being struck by a hit & run driver early Wednesday while walking on Mike Padgett Highway.
Zyionna Fields, 21, was struck by a southbound vehicle at 3077 Mike Padgett Highway, about 2.5 miles from where she lives on Dudley Drive, Coroner Mark Bowen said.
The young woman was pronounced dead at 2:54 a.m. Wednesday. An autopsy is scheduled.
No information has been released on the vehicle or any possible suspects.
