Augusta Woman Wanted for Stabbing Older Roommate

An Augusta woman is being sought for repeatedly stabbing the older man that she was living with, according to authorities.

Laura Elese Taylor, 52, is wanted for aggravated assault and exploitation of elderly or disabled person. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Friday at the home she shares with the 68-year-old victim on the 2300 block of Prague Court.

Taylor accused the 68-year-old man on Friday of having her wallet. He denied it and told her to check her car. She got in his face, he pushed her away and she started stabbing him, authorities said. The victim suffered a deep cut to his stomach as well as stab wounds to his chest, arm and ear.

The victim said he has been living at the home for several years with Taylor.

Laura Taylor is known to frequent the areas of the 2300 Block of Prague Court and the 1100 Block of 12th Avenue in Augusta, authorities said.
