Body of Missing Martinez Man is Found in Wrecked Car in Aiken County

The body of a missing Martinez man was found Tuesday at the scene of a wrecked vehicle in Aiken.

Shortly before 11 a.m Tuesday, the Coroner’s Office responded to the crash that had occurred in the 3400 block of Silver Bluff Road in Aiken. The body of 27-year-old Austin F. Hollar was found there.

According to the coroner, the wreck happened when a 2013 Nissan Rouge ran off the right side of the road and went down an embankment, striking a tree. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died.

Hollar was reported missing to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday after he failed to show up at home after leaving work in Aiken.

Hollar will be autopsied in Newberry. The Coroner’s Office along with the S.C. Highway Patrol are continuing with the investigation.
