He Tried to Use Woman’s Stolen Credit at Best Buy in Augusta. He Failed.

-

Don’t you love it when a crook fails at crooking?

Richmond County authorities say this man tried to use a stolen credit card March 9 at the Augusta Best Buy, and he was rejected. “The purchase was not allowed,” a sheriff’s report says.

The card was stolen from a woman’s car while it was unlocked the same day outside MedNow on Washington Road. The 28-year-old victim said she “always leaves the vehicle unsecured” and wasn’t sure whether the wallet was stolen at MedNow or at home, but she found nothing after checking her home security footage.

The woman’s wallet contained her driver’s license, Social Security card and Best Buy card.  Video footage shows this guy trying to use the Best Buy card. He is wanted for a Financial Transaction Card Fraud.

If you can help identify him, please contact Inv. John Perry at (706) 821-1097, or any On Duty Investigator at the  Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (706) 821-1020 or (706) 821-1080.
