The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office will be featured on new episodes of COPS on Friday when the series begins airing on Fox Nation.
The series was cancelled over a year ago from Paramount Network, ending the long-running docuseries. But now, it’s found a new home at Fox Nation, which is the Fox News streaming service. Fox Nation acquired the rights to Season 33 (which consists of 33 episodes), along with 15 additional episodes from Season 32.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office will be featured among the first four episodes that drop on Friday, Oct. 1. COPS episodes will then start airing weekly.
RCSO officials announced their participation in the renewed season on Facebook on Thursday with links to a few trailers and encouragement for residents to “tune in!”
COPS follows real law enforcement professionals from around the country as they patrol local streets and arrest criminals. It debuted back in 1989 on Fox, airing on Saturday nights for more than two decades until it was cancelled in 2013. It later jumped around to Spike TV and Paramount Network.
