Warrenville Dies After Car Hits His Dirt Bike in Aiken County

A Warrenville man died after being struck Sunday night while riding his dirt bike, authorities said.

Here is the press release from Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables:

“On Sunday night (February 6, 2022 at 8:50 p.m.) the Aiken County Coroner’s Office responded to Augusta University Medical Centers regarding the death of a Warrenville, South Carolina man.

53-year-old Danny W. Wyatt was pronounced dead at 8:43 p.m. from blunt force injuries he sustained after being struck by a vehicle while riding his dirt bike. The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Carline Road at Langley Dam Road.

Mr. Wyatt was riding his dirt bike on Langley Dam Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Carline Road and pulled into the path of a northbound Chevrolet Suburban. Toxicology analysis are pending on Mr. Wyatt.

The Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing with the investigation.”
